Tips & Tricks

• Most hedges are best trimmed twice a year. The first trimming should ideally be done between May and June, and the second around August/September.
• It is best to trim your hedges in the shade or on cloudy days to prevent browning caused by young shoots getting scorched by the sun.
• Place a cloth or plastic sheet under the hedge to catch trimmings, which will reduce cleanup later.

Maintenance:

• Always clean the blades with a soft brush and a clean cloth after use.
• Regularly spray the blades with a maintenance spray for the best trimming results. For this, we recommend the BLACK+DECKER A6102_XJ maintenance spray.
• To keep your BLACK+DECKER hedge trimmer in optimal condition, we recommend always storing it in the supplied storage sheath after use.
