The spring suspension of the motor, transmission, and blade bar within the housing ensures a low vibration level.
Double-cutting blade bar with opposing moving blades and counter blades and two-sided cutting direction ensures efficient cutting action.
Dirt and resin-repellent nickel coating keeps the blades sharper and cleaner for longer.
Widened anvils over the entire length of the blade protect the user from cuts.
Electric safety brake stops the blades as soon as the machine is released with either hand.
Overload and deep discharge protection with light signal: red LED flashes when the battery is almost depleted and gives a continuous signal when the battery is empty.
With the help of the optional chip catcher, the cuttings can be kept out of the hedge.
This basic version is supplied without batteries and without a charger, but is compatible with almost all other LXT 18V Li-ion batteries. In this way, you can expand your collection of Makita machines in a cost-conscious way.
